Making a Collection Public

Follow these steps to make a collection public:

  1. Open the Collection:

    • From the Stacks dashboard, click on Collections. Click on the three dots beside the collection you want to share in the lsit view.
  2. Toggle the Public Option:

    • Locate the Share button in the drop-down.
    • Switch it on to enable public access.
  3. Confirmation Dialog:

    • A dialog box will appear explaining the implications of making the collection public.
    • Confirm to proceed. Once confirmed, the collection will be visible to anyone with the link.

Viewing the Public Profile

After making a collection public, it will appear on your public profile. Here’s how to view it:

  1. Navigate to Your Profile:

    • Click on your avatar or username in the top-right corner and select Public Profile.
  2. Review Public Collections:

    • All public collections will be displayed on your profile page.
    • Visitors can browse through these collections and view individual items.

Sharing the Collection

To share your collection, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the Public Link:

    • Click on the Share button within the public collection view.
    • Copy the generated link.
  2. Distribute the Link:

    • Share the link via email, social media, or messaging platforms.
    • Recipients can view the collection instantly without needing a Stacks account.
